Holistic Self-care

with Influencer Olivia Noceda

No two days look the same for Olivia Noceda, a Los Angeles-based speech pathologist and content creator who shares healthy eats, self-care tips, and fitness inspiration on her website Olive.Eeeats. Find out how she takes care of herself from the inside out, from practicing yoga and meditation to using natural products from the Burt’s Bees® Renewal line.

Thoughtful Meditation

Instead of focusing all of her energy on one aspect of life, Olivia strives to find balance. “The practices I indulge in on a daily basis—meditation, journaling, yoga—all contribute to a healthy lifestyle,” she explains. To take care of herself from the inside out, Olivia aims to start every morning on a positive note.

“The most important thing is my morning routine,” she says. “I wake up at 6, have my coffee, and meditate before taking on the day.” She also takes a moment to meditate if she’s feeling anxious and before bed. “Taking care of yourself is twofold,” she explains. “You can do self-care by going to the gym and eating really healthy, but you can also do self-care by taking some time for yourself in the morning.”

Empowering Workouts

Spending time at the gym is one of her favorite ways to manage stress, and she’s found that a workout doesn’t need to be intense to be beneficial. In fact, she prefers low-intensity training that leaves her feeling strong instead of depleted. “I like to switch it up between hot yoga, Pilates, and low-impact cardio,” she says. Her go-to? Walking on the treadmill for a bit of moving meditation. “I don’t listen to music when I run,” she explains. “I just count my breaths.”

On days when Olivia doesn’t feel motivated to workout, she allows herself to slow down. Treating herself with kindness, especially when she doesn’t feel her best, is a big part of taking care of herself.

Natural Skincare

On social media, Olivia is candid about her struggles with acne and its impact on her confidence. “It’s difficult for me to be vulnerable, but I do it to help people and show them that acne is normal and doesn’t have to affect their self-worth,” she explains.

Since she has sensitive skin, she likes to keep her skincare clean and simple with natural options from the Burt’s Bees® Renewal line. This powerful-yet-gentle collection includes six anti-aging and brightening products. Bakuchiol, a natural alternative to retinol that helps smooth skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, is a key ingredient in the line.

“I had a bad experience with retinol, so I like the Firming Moisturizing Cream because it’s made with bakuchiol instead,” she explains. “Plus, it makes my skin feel a lot firmer.”

She’s also a big fan of the Intensive Firming Serum and the Firming Eye Cream. “I apply this lightweight serum before doing my makeup in the morning, and I use the eye cream twice a day,” she says. “I’ve found that my under-eye area is much softer now.”

Natural products like these, combined with exercise and mindfulness, have been an important part of Olivia’s journey to feel confident and happy from the inside out.
